BBC Scotland Report: ‘Soft Scotland conceded six second-half goals in a 25-minute period as ruthless Germany came from behind to deliver a second devastating defeat in four days in Group A1 of the Nations League.

Captain Caroline Weir nonchalantly slotted the visitors ahead five minutes before the break in Wolfsburg, following an impressive first-half showing, but it soon turned sour.

A rejuvenated, and perhaps angered Germany, burst out in the second half and showed exactly why they are ranked third in the world – as they did in the 4-0 thumping on Friday night in Dundee.’

BBC REPORT: ‘An emotional John Higgins produced a vintage display to defeat fellow four-time world champion Mark Selby 10-8 in a compelling Tour Championship final in Manchester.

The Scot dominated the early stages on Sunday to lead 5-1 but appeared on the ropes when Selby reeled off seven consecutive frames to hold an 8-5 advantage in a high-quality encounter.

Scotland lose 3-0 to Greece at Hampden in The Nations League Play Offs

STV Report: ‘Scotland have suffered relegation in the Nations League after a 3-0 home defeat to Greece saw them lose their crucial play-off tie.

The national team had a 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Athens on Thursday but put in a lacklustre performance and were swept aside by an energetic Greek side.

The 3-1 aggregate defeat means Scotland have lost their League A status and will be in the second tier of the Nations League when they return to the competition next year.’
